David has over 25 years of industry experience and a wealth of knowledge in the energy and resources sector. He has extensive experience in managing and winning large multi-year Master Service Agreements and managing multiple disciplines in brownfield environments. His leadership has solidified a high-performance MRO business and one that is highly respected by major clients. He has played a key role in the integration of operating units of Stuart Olson into one team and has built and maintained a tier 1 MRO status among clients. He is passionate about continuous improvement in safety, productivity, and relationships. In 2021, David joined Canem and assumed the position of Executive Vice President, leading the company’s progress into its next phase of success.

David has a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the University of Alberta, completed his PMP (Project Management Professional) credential, and has been a journeyman electrician since 1997. He is a certified Master Electrician (Electrical Safety Authority).
