Dockside Green

Description

Situated in the City of Victoria, Dockside Green is a multi-phase neighbourhood development with a focus on sustainable living. This is the biggest land development in the city of Victoria’s history. Within the project’s 15-acre footprint are LEED Platinum-certified buildings, a waste water treatment facility, a District Energy System including wind and solar harvesting, electric vehicle charging stations, and an ecologically focused greenway. The first phase consists of three residential towers, totaling 335,000 square feet, spread over 365 residential units. A shared three level parkade below the towers makes up an additional 172,000 square feet.

Canem’s scope of work included the electrical installation on 12-, 13-, and 15-storey high-rise residential buildings. Features included photovoltaic systems on each tower, smart electric vehicle charging management systems throughout the parkade levels, cell phone range booster systems installed throughout the parkade levels, and access control, CCTV, and enter phone systems throughout each building.

Dockside Green achieved the LEED Canada Platinum designation and holds the world record for the highest LEED points.
