This 1.4 million square foot Amazon Fulfillment Center is located in Calgary, AB. It has nearly 1 million square feet of overall footprint with 400,000+ square feet of mezzanine space for automated conveyor sorting equipment.

Canem’s scope of work included: a 600A Medium Voltage Distribution System feeding (2)3000A, (2)2000A, and (1)1500A Low Voltage Services, Branch Circuit Panels, EV Charging Station, Lighting & Lighting Control System including over 3000 High Bay Fixtures, Communication and Access Control Rough In, Fire Alarm and Smoke Exhaust, 100 Dock Levelers, Connections to Hydrogen Filling Station.

Building a project of this size and scale requires careful precision and planning. The combined use of our Prefabrication shop and BIM & VDC services improved lines of communication and efficiency between the office and site. Preplanning and prefabbing the conduit bends in the shop helped ensure a smooth installation with the use of VDC to avoid confusion on-site and unnecessary design changes.
